Properties
Fipralone spot-on contains the active ingredient fipronil. Fipronil is an insecticide and acaricide from the phenylpyrazole group. It is a noncompetitive GABA inhibitor that binds to the chloride channel, thereby blocking the pre- and postsynaptic transfer of chloride ions across the cell membrane. This results in uncontrolled activity of the central nervous system, killing insects and acarids.
Dosage and instructions for use
For external use only. Apply one pipette per dog or cat to the skin. Hold the pipette upright. Tap the top of the pipette several times to ensure all the liquid is at the bottom. Break off the tip of the pipette along the break line. Part the hairs until the skin is clearly visible. Place the tip of the pipette directly on the hairless skin and squeeze the pipette firmly several times to empty it completely. Apply the contents between the shoulder blades, preferably in two places.
